The “Has Fallen” film series features Gerard Butler as Secret Service agent Mike Banning. It includes the movies Olympus Has Fallen (2013), London Has Fallen (2016), and Angel Has Fallen (2019), with Aaron Eckhart as President Benjamin Asher and Morgan Freeman as Speaker of the House Allan Trumbull. Despite mixed critical reviews, the series has grossed $523 million globally.

Butler has committed to three more films, expanding the franchise with foreign adaptations and TV spin-offs under development. Alan Siegel announced three additional films in 2019, and in 2020, Night Has Fallen was confirmed with Butler reprising his role and serving as producer alongside director Waugh.
