Ghosts of Mars (2001) is a science fiction horror film directed by John Carpenter. The film stars Natasha Henstridge, Ice Cube, and Jason Statham, and it blends elements of sci-fi with supernatural horror.

Set in the year 2176, the film takes place on Mars, which has been colonized and is now under threat from a malevolent force. The story follows a group of police officers, led by Officer Melanie Ballard (Natasha Henstridge), who are sent to transport a dangerous prisoner, Desolation Williams (Ice Cube), from a remote mining outpost back to the city. However, they soon discover that the outpost has been overrun by a mysterious and deadly force.

The colonists have awakened ancient Martian spirits that possess and turn them into violent, ghostly entities. As the spirits wreak havoc and kill off the crew, Ballard and her team must fight to survive and prevent the spread of the possession to other parts of Mars.
