Louis Leterrier directs this modern reboot of the classic Greek myth, following Perseus (Worthington), a demigod who must rise against Hades (Fiennes) and Medusa to save humanity.
Worthington plays the reluctant hero well, while Neeson commands respect as Zeus. Fiennes adds menace as the underworldโs most dangerous god. The visual effects are bold, especially during the Kraken attack.
Though criticized for over-CGI, the film delivers action and spectacle.
Gods may fall โ but heroes rise.
