“The Chaser” (2008) is a South Korean crime thriller that follows the intense pursuit between an ex-detective turned pimp and a ruthless serial killer.

Jung-ho, a former detective who now runs an escort service, discovers that many of his girls have mysteriously disappeared. He initially suspects they’ve been sold to human trafficking rings. However, the truth is far more horrifying.

When one of his girls, Mi-jin, also vanishes after receiving a call from a mysterious client, Jung-ho begins his own investigation. He soon discovers that the person behind these disappearances is Young-min, a brutal serial killer.
