Alone (2020)

Alone (2020)
Alone is an intense survival thriller that strips horror down to its rawest essence, pitting a woman against a relentless predator in the unforgiving wilderness.
Jessica (played by Jules Willcox), recently widowed and emotionally vulnerable, sets out on a solo road trip through the Pacific Northwest.

But her journey takes a terrifying turn when she is stalked, abducted, and imprisoned by a cold-blooded stranger (Marc Menchaca).
After a daring escape, Jessica finds herself alone in the vast forest—injured and hunted—with only her instincts and resilience to survive.

As the chase intensifies, the film becomes a brutal cat-and-mouse game where every decision could mean life or death. With minimal dialogue and stark cinematography, Alone relies on raw tension, physical performance, and psychological terror to deliver its impact.

Directed by John Hyams and written by Mattias Olsson, Alone is a remake of the Swedish film Försvunnen (2011). It’s a concise, minimalist thriller that avoids genre clichés, offering a resourceful protagonist with deep emotional grounding.
