He’s back, he’s louder, and he’s weirder than ever—Ace Ventura 3: Lost in Time (2025) has finally dropped its first trailer, bringing Jim Carrey back to one of his most iconic roles. Directed by Shawn Levy, the film promises a riotous mix of slapstick comedy, wild adventure, and time-traveling madness that only Ace could stumble into.

This time, Ace (Jim Carrey) is recruited to track down a priceless animal relic stolen from a high-tech research facility. But when the artifact accidentally hurls him through a rift in time, Ace finds himself bouncing across history—causing chaos in ancient Egypt, jousting knights in medieval England, and even facing off against dinosaurs in the Jurassic era.

Joining Carrey is Awkwafina as a no-nonsense scientist forced to chase Ace through the ages, Taika Waititi as a bumbling time thief with schemes of his own, and Ken Jeong as a government agent who has absolutely no patience for Ace’s antics.

The trailer is packed with laugh-out-loud moments: Ace riding a woolly mammoth into battle, sneaking into a Roman gladiator arena disguised as a lion, and a signature slow-motion scene where he dramatically “talks” to a velociraptor. Cinematographer John Schwartzman shoots the comedy with blockbuster flair, while composer Mark Mothersbaugh returns with a zany, energetic score.

Director Shawn Levy calls Ace Ventura 3 “a time-bending comedy adventure that brings Ace into a whole new playground of absurdity—while letting Jim Carrey unleash his genius one more time.”
