Battle Strong
In this original military thriller, decorated Navy SEAL Jack Rourke (Chris Hemsworth) is forced back into service when an elite mercenary group seizes control of an oil rig containing classified AI defense software.
CIA operative Kate Morgan (Emily Blunt) recruits Rourke for his intimate knowledge of the rig’s layout. Mahershala Ali plays Commander Gaines, Rourke’s former superior turned enemy after defecting to the mercenaries. Rami Malek portrays a reluctant hacker forced to aid the mercenaries, whose conscience pushes him toward helping Rourke’s team.
The narrative is a tense, claustrophobic siege, blending underwater stealth missions with brutal close-quarters combat inside the rig’s industrial maze. As the operation unfolds, Rourke uncovers that the software was designed to autonomously select nuclear strike targets — and Gaines intends to auction it to the highest bidder.
The finale is a desperate race against time as Rourke and Morgan battle Gaines atop the rig during a hurricane, the AI’s launch countdown ticking away. The final blow — delivered in the midst of roaring waves and lightning — secures victory but leaves Rourke questioning his place in a world where wars are fought by algorithms.
