After nearly a decade of silence, the war between vampires and Lycans erupts once more in Underworld 6: Rise of the Vampire, set for release in September 2025. Directed by Anna Foerster (Underworld: Blood Wars), the sixth chapter promises darker visuals, grander battles, and a new chapter in the saga of death dealer Selene.
Kate Beckinsale returns as the iconic Selene, now a legendary figure among vampires, living in the shadows after years of conflict. When an ancient vampire order emerges from hiding to reclaim dominance over both vampires and Lycans, Selene is forced into a perilous alliance with a new generation of warriors. At the heart of the conflict is a mysterious childโrumored to be the key to tipping the balance of the war forever.
Joining the cast is Bill Skarsgรฅrd as a cunning vampire prince seeking to unite the clans, Florence Pugh as a fierce Lycan assassin with her own vendetta, and Charles Dance reprising his role as the formidable vampire elder Thomas.
The film promises brutal close-quarters combat, sweeping gothic cityscapes, and massive battle sequences blending practical stunt work with cutting-edge effects. Cinematographer Paul Cameron drenches every frame in icy blues and deep shadows, while composer Marco Beltrami returns with a pulse-pounding score infused with haunting choral themes.
